ROTO GRAVURE PRINTING
Because gravure is capable of transferring more ink to the paper than most other printing processes, it is noted for its remarkable density range (light to shadow) and hence is a process of choice for fine art and photography reproduction, though not typically as clean an image as that of offset lithography. A shortcoming of gravure is that all images, including type and "solids," are actually printed as dots, and unless the ink and substrate combination is set up to allow solid areas to flow together, the screen pattern of these dots can be visible to the naked eye.
Gravure is an industrial printing process capable of consistent high quality printing. Since the Gravure printing process requires the creation of one cylinder for each colour of the final image, it is expensive for short runs and best suited for high volume printing.
LAMINATING & SLITTING
We offer Laminating, Slitting, and Sheeting processes to support our die cutting operation. They serve as intermediate steps in final production of specified die cut parts. FLEXTEK also has the ability to perform Laminating, Slitting, and Sheeting as individual processes per your specifications, or by combining the processes interchangably to produce final products.
ROLL STOCK
Flextek's roll-stock films are either mono-layer or laminated substrates, that combine solvent, solvent-less or extrusion lamination capabilities, with vibrant flexographic and state-of-the-art ten-color rotogravure printing to quality converted Vertical Form-Fill-Seal (VFFS) and Horizontal-Form-Fill-Seal (HFFS) roll-stock.
METALIZED FILMS
Metalized films are good quality polymer films layered with a skinny layer of metal, generally aluminum. These films are given a glossy metallic appearance like that of aluminum foils but at lower weight and reduced prices. Metalized films are broadly used for food(dry coffee/powder ) packaging and decorative purposes and also for special applications including electronics and insulation.
FORMING FILMS
Forming film from Flextek runs conveniently on all standard existing equipment with no need for forming or sealing temperatures adjustments or changing sealing pressure and vacuum timing. We offer a significant reduction on baggy edges, tracking issues as well as down-time and waste on the equipment.
